Why is there eye discharge?

Why is there eye discharge?

Along the eyelids of the eyes, there are areas that produce a sticky, oily liquid.

This fluid always comes out a little at a time and spreads to the conjunctiva, the area behind the eyelid. When the back of the eyelid is moistened with this fluid, the eyelid can move smoothly when blinking. In other words, it acts like oil for machinery.
When this sticky liquid is swept away by tears and accumulates under the eyes, it is called eye discharge.
To the family
Healthy people do not have much eye discharge, but if you have a lot of eye discharge, you may have an eye disease, and we recommend that you see a specialist.
