Why is there an ocean and how did it form?

The surface of the earth is covered by vast oceans many times the size of land. Naturally, there is a great deal of water there, but this water was originally expelled from the earth a long time ago.
About 4.6 billion years ago, around the time of the Earth's birth, volcanic explosions began to occur all over the Earth. These volcanic eruptions released water vapor and carbon dioxide gases from the Earth's interior to the outside.
These gases created "air" around the earth. As the earth cooled, the water vapor in the air began to rain on the earth.
Rain like a downpour. Rain like a typhoon. Such heavy rain continued to fall on the earth for a long time. Finally, the oceans were formed on the earth.
However, the water of the oceans in the beginning was not the same as that of today. At that time, seawater was a liquid that could melt a human body. This seawater gradually mingled with the properties of the rocks and stones that surrounded it, and gradually changed into the seawater that we know today.
