Why is the ocean so big?

Why is the ocean so big?

Comparing the size of the ocean to the size of land, the ocean is 2.42 times larger than land. This vast ocean did not exist when the earth was just born about 4.6 billion years ago.

Subsequently, heavy rains fell on the earth, causing water to accumulate, which in turn created the oceans. The reason the oceans are so large is that the rain that fell at that time was extremely abundant.
But how did so much rain fall on an earth that originally had no water? Where in the world did so much water hide? The truth is that this water was originally found in the rocks that created the earth. When the earth was formed, the water in the rocks turned into water vapor, which then cooled and formed rain.
It is said that it took 700 million years from the birth of the earth to the formation of the oceans. It took a long, long time for the oceans of today to be formed.
