Where is the water from the rain?

The source of water in rain is water vapor, which we cannot see.
Water vapor is water that has evaporated. Laundry gets wrinkled because the water in the laundry evaporates into water vapor, which then escapes into the air.
Of course, water evaporation does not only occur from laundry. Water also evaporates from the ground and plants, as well as from oceans, rivers, and lakes.
In particular, in the warm southern oceans, a lot of water evaporates and sends a lot of water vapor into the air. This water vapor rises into the sky, where it cools and forms fine particles of ice and water, which are called clouds. Rain falls from these clouds.
Therefore, it can be said that the water for rain is originally from the oceans, rivers, lakes, and the many other bodies of water around us.
Once it rains, the water flows down rivers and returns to the oceans and lakes. The water from the oceans and lakes then evaporates again, forms clouds, and falls to the ground as rain. In this way, water on the earth is constantly circulating.
