Why does snow melt so quickly?

Why does snow melt so quickly?

Those who think the snow will melt soon are probably those who live in warmer regions.

In cold regions, such as Hokkaido, Aomori, and Akita, the snow that falls does not melt immediately. Therefore, people living in cold regions must be wondering why snow does not melt easily.
In cold regions, snow that accumulates in the ground does not melt for many months, and it becomes root snow. Root snow refers to the state in which snow that has fallen clumps together and does not melt until spring. In cold regions, this type of snow is common.
The reason why snow melts quickly is because the temperature on the ground is high and warm.
Snow is made of ice, which melts when the temperature rises. A large block of ice takes a long time to melt when placed in a hot place, but snow is very small, even though it is called ice. Therefore, when it is warm, it melts quickly and becomes water.
