Occupations Elementary School Students Want to Have in the Future (2022 Edition)

What is your dream job? What kind of job do your friends aspire to? Based on a survey of elementary school students, we have compiled a ranking of the top jobs they would like to have in the future.
The number one job for both boys and girls combined in the 2022 edition is "patissier (cake shop). It is especially popular among girls, and has been the top occupation for eight consecutive years.
In fact, the same five occupations are ranked in the same order as in the 2021 edition, from No. 1 to No. 5 overall. All of these jobs are already standard, so be sure to check them out. The second most popular occupation, "YouTuber or other online distributor," is ranked No. 1 among boys and No. 6 among girls, and has become even more popular since last year.
In the 5th to 10th place, "driver" and "singer/idol" replaced "nurse" and "researcher" last year, perhaps because the impact of the new type of coronavirus infection has lessened. This may be a result of the strong desire to turn one's "favorite" into a career.
Men's No. 1 was "YouTubers and other online distributors.

The top male choice was "YouTubers and other online video streamers. Last year, it was the same as "professional soccer player," but this time, more boys chose it, and it was the only one. The increase in the number of boys who watch videos in their rooms due to the new Corona may be due to the increase in the number of boys who watch videos in their rooms, and the increase in the number of boys who are engineers/programmers (mechanical, technical, and IT-related) in fifth place from seventh place last year may be due to the increased use of tablets and other communication devices.
No. 1 for women is "patissier (cake maker).

The top female occupation was again "patissier (cake shop)," followed by "singer/idol" at No. 5. Singers and idols are the target of aspiration, and perhaps the recent boom in the "guessing game" (an activity to support one's favorite idols, characters, etc.) has made them more familiar and made more people want to become one too.
We value everyone's "likes" the most.
In the 2022 survey, I asked parents what occupation they wanted their children to have. The result was that the most common response was "nothing in particular," at 44.3%. This is because we are thinking of everyone's wishes first and foremost, and we want everyone to have a job that they themselves want to do or become. Therefore, it is important for everyone to find what they "love" and enjoy it to the fullest. This will often lead to your dreams and jobs in the future, and your guardians and others around you will surely support you.
