They show their specialties to customers gathered on the streets or in parks, such as juggling, in which they manipulate objects like a cue ball; balloon art, in which they use balloons to make things; pantomime, in which they perform a play without talking; and acrobatics, in which they keep the audience on the edge of their seats. They earn cash from the audience who enjoy or are moved by their performances. This is the original form of street performers. Today, however, street performers are sometimes invited to events, theme parks, shopping malls, etc., to perform on stage and earn an "appearance fee. Although there are different ways of earning money, the work of street performers is to show their performances that bring excitement and laughter to audiences of all ages and both men and women. I enjoyed it. Thank you! and "Thank you!" and make people want to pay for the performance. To this end, it is important not only for the performer to be a master of his or her craft, but also for the performer to have the skills to enliven the audience and to be interesting as a character in his or her own right.

There are no special qualifications to become a street performer. No education or experience is required. Currently, there are also training schools and vocational schools for street performers. Once you have mastered the skills you are good at, you can actually perform on the stage as part of your training. This is because it takes a lot of experience to perform in front of an audience. It is a good idea to participate in street performance competitions, which are open to amateurs as well. Those street performers whose talents are recognized may be approached by event organizers, or they may be able to join an office specializing in street performers. If they further develop their skills, they may be able to participate in overseas events (street performance festivals, etc.)!

In Japan, it is prohibited to perform street performances on street corners without permission. If using a street, a police road use permit is required, and if using a park, permission from the park administrator is required. Today, there is a street performance festival or event somewhere every month. The number of opportunities to see street performers on a daily basis is increasing. As a result, customers are becoming more and more discerning. In other words, conventional performances are no longer acceptable. This is true worldwide, and the level of street performers will continue to improve, both in terms of content and quality. In preparation for this, it is important to develop one's own unique skills, but it is also important to actively promote oneself. Nowadays, it is easy to appeal not only to Japan but also to the rest of the world by posting videos on the Internet. In particular, performances using the body are a universal form of expression that does not require words. Many street performances are effective in appealing through video clips. If they become a topic of conversation among people overseas who have seen their videos, it would not be a dream for them to be active on the world stage.

Monthly income varies, as income depends on the street performer's name recognition and the number of visitors he/she attracts. If invited to an event, the performance fee starts at around 50,000 yen. If they are able to entertain the audience, they receive more throw-away money, and they also receive an appearance fee for the event, so their income is stable. The average annual income ranges from 5.14 to 6.3 million yen.
