Trusted certification test for professionals to put their skills to the test
Even if you do not aspire to become a professional chef or chef-owner, many people would like to be able to prepare a variety of dishes by themselves. For such people, we recommend that they set their sights on the Home Cooking Proficiency Test. Boys, of course, are also welcome.
The Home Cooking Proficiency Test is a test of comprehensive knowledge and skills in cooking through a practical test and a written test. Even professional chefs and nutritionists sometimes take the test to verify their "comprehensive skills. It is a highly reliable and authentic certification test.
Passing the test does not guarantee a job in that field. However, it is a good benchmark to test one's ability. It is said that "passing level 2 is enough to open a cooking school," so it is a worthwhile challenge.
Levels 4 and 5 can be taken online, and elementary and junior high school students can also aim for them!
About 3,000 people take the test every year. Elementary and junior high school students account for 28%, or more than a quarter of the total number of examinees. The easiest level, Level 5, is for elementary school students who have studied "diet and nutrition" and "cooking and hygiene," while Level 4 can be passed by those who have mastered home economics in junior high school. Levels 4 and 5 can be taken at home from a smartphone or tablet.
Levels 1 to 3 include a second practical test to check one's skills in cutting, peeling, and cooking.
These days, many people have an unbalanced diet from childhood, which is the source of various diseases such as anemia and obesity. The purpose of this certification test is not only to check one's cooking skills, but also to acquire knowledge about proper dietary habits. If you pass the exam, you will be able to take charge of your family's health.
