Lace Knitting Proficiency Test

This is a test of lace knitting ability. Beginners are advised to start with yarn knitting for quicker progress!
Lots of overlap with yarn knitting.
A fabric with an openwork pattern, made by threads twisted together, knitted, or embroidered. It is called lace. Lace is often used for clothing, accessories, curtains, table coverings, and other items that come to mind.
There is a specialized skill test for lace knitting, and it is very popular.
The needles and threads used to knit lace are much finer than those used for wool. Therefore, this test is suitable for those who can handle detailed work with dexterity. The level of passing the test is a little higher than that for yarn knitting, as it is necessary to master the use of special tools for making lace patterns, such as flower cards, hairpin devices, and so on.
However, there are many aspects of knitting that overlap with yarn knitting. If you already have experience in yarn knitting, you can start lace knitting little by little, starting with basic crochet lace knitted with crochet hooks, knitting lace knitted with bar needles, and so on.
Aim! The master of lace knitting!
The examinations are divided into levels 1 through 3. The level required for Level 3, the easiest level, is basic knowledge and skills in lace knitting and the ability to apply them, while Level 2 requires knowledge and skills advanced enough to assist the instructor. The level required to pass the highest level, Level 1, is clearly the ability to teach.
If you have no experience at all in knitting or lace knitting, it is recommended that you start with yarn knitting. It may seem like a long way to go, but it is the best way to steadily acquire skills.
If you are longing for a life surrounded by beautiful lace works made by your own hands, such as table centers and cushions... by all means, give it a try!
