Qualifications obtained by users of the system
When using a personal computer, one day, you may suddenly encounter a variety of problems, such as software that stops working, data corruption, or the computer itself not being able to turn on. In such cases, it is normal to ask the dealer or manufacturer to repair the PC, but a qualified PC mechanic can find the cause of the problem, replace parts, and repair the PC by himself/herself.
Most computer-related qualifications and certifications are related to software, such as programming and software usage. On the other hand, a PC mechanic is a somewhat unusual qualification that mainly tests the ability to maintain (diagnose and repair) hardware (the main body of a PC) and build a network.
There is a wide range of opportunities for a Level 1 "computer mechanic".
There are three levels of certification, from Level 3 to Level 1. Those who pass Level 3 are recognized as "PC diagnosticians," Level 2 as "PC maintenance deputy," and Level 1 as "PC mechanics. The higher the level, the more knowledge about viruses and advanced skills in networking are required, while the Level 1 exam requires knowledge and skills to manage the entire company's network and security (safety).
If you pass the first-level exam and become a computer mechanic, you will be able to serve as an advisor for companies and public institutions.
Although it is not well known since it is a new certification, it is likely that future PC mechanics will be able to play an active role in various fields as "PC doctors" or "PC teachers. The minimum age requirement to take the exam is 16 years old.
